In a world where an estimated 11.3 million tons of clothing are discarded annually in the U.S. alone,
Zac Thielemier (tea-la-myer) stands at the intersection of high fashion and radical sustainability. Zac's
journey into design began in the summer of 2024, building upon a three-year foundation in the
industry as a working fashion model.

Hailing from a small Arkansas town where high fashion was an abstract concept, Zac’s design
philosophy is rooted in a deeply personal legacy: his late aunt, Joanne, the family’s beloved “yard sale
queen.” Joanne instilled a love for the unique and an appreciation for the intrinsic value of forgotten
items.

This spirit is the heartbeat of the brand, Joanne’s Box. It is a commitment to honoring her legacy by
reimagining secondhand and thrifted textiles—a direct and artistic response to fashion’s waste crisis.
Zac utilizes bold, unexpected patterns and prints, transforming materials often overlooked, such as
vintage blankets, curtains, sheets, and even shower curtains, into unique, high-quality, and completely
upcycled garments.

Joanne's Box aims to challenge the industry standard, offering a distinct and beautiful aesthetic where
nothing is off-limits and every piece has a one-of-a-kind history.
